Get ready for a great introduction to using scotchcasts for splinting! Taught by the expertise of Michael Karg, PA-C with decades of experience in orthopedic education and trauma management, this course covers all the necessary pearls for making good decisions about splinting as well as the opportunity to actually perform the splinting techniques from the convenience of your own home!
This course includes the following common splinting techniques with 3M Scotchcasts:
- Short Arm/Volar Splint
- Thumb Spica Splint
- Ulnar Gutter Splint
- Short Leg/Posterior Splint

Michael Karg, PA-C has been a orthopedic surgery Physician Assistant for over two decades and works with orthopedic trauma and total joint reconstruction with Ortho Illinois in Rockford, IL. He also serves as a preceptor for Rush University and brings a considerable expertise to Skills On Point. Mike and his teaching peers of John Moore and Cory Belnap provide the casting, splinting, and musculoskeletal assessment and exam portion of the Family Practice Skills Workshop for Skills On Point. Their expertise is apparent to any who enjoy their lectures.
