With the enactment of IL House Bill 313 into law as House Act 0214 on Jan 1, 2018, All IL-licensed nurse practitioners are now required to obtain 10 hours of pharmacology continuing education specific to Opioid Prescription and Substance Abuse Education. This course is a self-study of the April 2018 Live version of this content. By watching each of the 10 hours of content at your pace, you can affordably and efficiently meet this requirement!
At the end of these videos, you will take a post-course evaluation and when that is submitted, you will be connected to a site where all 10 CE certificates will be generated for you to instantly download and print!
NOTE: for those seeking AANA Class A credit, it can be individually applied directly with AANA as a non-prior approval application for 10 credits. CRNAs may apply individually using the Individual Nonprior Approval Application via the AANA CE Portal at www.aana.com/ceportal.

Dr. John Russell, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, CCRN, RNFA is the owner and founder of Skills On Point®, LLC as well as a nurse practitioner/first assistant with practice experience in cardiothoracic surgery. As well as an instructor for the National Institute of First Assisting, INC (NIFA®), John teaches nurse practitioner students for Northern Illinois University and Rosalind Franklin University for CRNAs and FNPs.
